14/03/11 LUNS Push IPv6 Ahead of World IPv6 Day!
On the 8th June 2011, as part of World IPV6 Day, major web sites and organisations will perform an IPv6 test flight on the global internet. With the existing IPv4 address space set to be exhausted in 2011, the goal is to perform an international test of IPv6 enabled web sites and to raise awareness of IPv6 and accelerate its adoption internationally. As a leading network operator, LUNS will be taking part. In addition, LUNS is well positioned to both provide native IPv6 connectivity and to help with the transition and testing of IPv6. Over the next 3 months, LUNS will be liaising with customers to spread the word about World IPV6 Day with the aim of successfully testing IPv6 enabled web sites on the day and increasing the adoption of IPv6 across our network and the wider Internet. If you are interested in taking part, please contact us!
